Thanksgiving 2014

Active and Alumni Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by the White Rose and the Alumni Association.

Here is a personal note from Brother Zac Garner…

“It would mean a lot to me personally if every brother able could double check their schedule and see if this is something they could make. I think the family dinners are the best way of getting us back to a common ground with everyone.”

The rest of the Alumni Board of Directors agrees with Brother Garner. We respectfully request that everyone attempt to make it. We feel that this is a great tradition to start.

Bats And Bullets

“Bullets”

We are going to meet at Terre Haute Sporting Clays at 10:00am, 1041 W Sandford Ave, West Terre Haute, IN 47885 (812) 535-3787.

We are going to do a round of sporting Clays (100 Birds/shots) Brother Garner was told it costs $30-$35. When we are done if guys want to do any side bets or shoot offs they have trap set up, that we can walk on and do.

“They also have a long gun range. A few of us are going to bring a few other guns, AR’s, Hi-points, slugs blah blah blah to have a little fun with also. Feel free to bring what you would like to shoot. You will be responsible for all your own ammo and fee’s to shoot. “ – Brother Garner
After the shooting, Brother Ben Hanson has offered to have the brothers who have taken part in the shoot over for a lunch cookout and drinks.

The Alumni Association would like to make it clear that firearm safety is critical. Those planning on attending to take part in the “Bullets” event should observe all federal and state laws as it pertains to transportation and position of any firearms or ammunition.

If you do not wish to part take in the “Bullets” portion of the day the Active Chapter will be helping with “Move-Ins” you are more than welcome to assist them in their recruitment efforts.

“Bats”

The dinner cookout will take place at 5:30 PM at the Chapter House. We will then be moving over to Frairbanks Park for the “Bats” portion of the day for the 4th Annual Actives vs. Alumni Softball game under the lights. First pitch will take place at 7:00 PM.

There will be an Alumni post game reception at Ole’ Simrell’s following the completion of the game.

I wish everyone safe travels and hope to see you all this weekend. Brother Garner will be accepting dues payments this weekend via check, cash or charge for those who have not paid their $50 annual alumni dues.
