New format for the Annual Meeting this year.

Due to the overwhelming responses from the alumni, this year’s Annual Meeting will be a new format. It will be a drive in/out style. We will be having our annual meeting from 1p – 3p followed by a buffet style luncheon and awards with the active chapter at 3:30p. The luncheon will be ending around 6p. We ask that business casual attire be worn at the luncheon. The luncheon costs $30 per person and we would like everyone to attend. However, it is not required. So you are welcome to leave right after the annual meeting. No hotel block is setup as no block is required.

We hope this new format works best for accommodating everyone’s busy schedules.

We kindly ask that everyone who is attending the luncheon, pre-purchase their tickets. You can do that here along with paying your alumni annual dues.

2016 Formal

2016 Annual Meeting

The Annual Alumni Meeting will be held Saturday, April 9th at the Embassy Suites NORTH. Yes you read that correct the NORTH location. We have not been to this hotel in 10 years since 2006. This will be different form years past as this is just the Alumni Meeting. The meeting will take place at 12:00 PM on April the 9th. The Alumni Association is sponsoring food during the meeting for our paid membership in attendance. We have organized a room block for the weekend as well. However if you would just like to drive in for the meeting and head home after you are more than welcome. After the meeting anyone who would like to stick around we will have an evening gathering. Information about the evening gathering is still being planned but more information to come in the weeks ahead. The hotel information is:

Room Rate: $119 + taxes and fees a night for Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th.

If you decide to stay at the hotel the block is only available until March 18th. With the news of the meeting at this time I am officially opening nominations for the new Board of Directors as well as agenda items or proposals to be submitted. You must be a paid Alumni Association in good standing to make a nomination or proposal and the person you are nominating must also be a paid association member in good standing. (Pay Your Dues)

To submit a nomination or proposal please do so by email to myself or another Board member. All email submittals must be in no later than April 1st at 1:00 PM EST.

Lastly, I ask that if you intend on joining us that you RSVP by Monday April 4th to mike@vansindustrial.com.

2015 Alumni Meeting

As we enter 2015 we celebrate our 25th year of the Delta Tau Chapter. With that said I would once again like to remind everyone you can make your reservations for this year’s White Rose Formal at www.whiterose25.eventbrite.com . This email is to invite Association Members in good standing to the annual Alumni Association meeting. The meeting will be held at 1:00 PM EST on Saturday, April 11th 2015 at the Embassy Suites Downtown, Indianapolis.

At this time I would like to officially open nominations for the 2015-16 Alumni Association Board of Directors. To nominate a Brother you yourself must be a current Association Member in good standing for your nomination to stand, additionally the person being nominated must also be an Association Member in good standing. The positions to be filled are as follows…

President (nominations for President can only include an Association Member who has served at least one term on the Board of Directors previously)
Vice President
VP of Membership
VP of Programs
VP of Finance

All nominations will be posted on our website weekly.

To nominate someone simply email me your nomination to mike@vansindustrial.com . I would suggest before you make a nomination you consult with the person you are nominating prior to submitting the potential candidates name. Furthermore if you have any new legislation you would like to have incorporated to the meeting or other agenda items I respectfully ask you submit those to me via email as well.

The deadline to make nomination or submittals must be sent to me no later than Monday, March 16th at 1:00 PM EST. Any nominations or submittals submitted past the deadline will not be considered at the meeting. Please respect that preparation for the meeting can be very tedious and time consuming.

Since our election we have all been very busy making this association the best it can be.  We have already had a call and attached are the minutes from that call.  (4-9-14 Call Notes)  We would like to highlight some items.  First, our motto this year is “Year of Fun” (YOF) you will see this expression used plenty this year and we hope you can all get on board with the YOF!  With that said this year much like our 20th Anniversary, the Alumni Association will work alongside the Active Chapter to host our 25th White Rose Formal and we are very excited to announce that 4/11/15 will be the date in Indianapolis, IN!!!  That will be the last event we will host this year but between now and then we have a full calendar of events we would now like to unveil…

    • June (6-8) Special Olympics Games @ ISU [community service] Terre Haute

The Active Chapter would like to invite any Alumni to the 4/26/14 Family Day at the Chapter House.

Our next official Alumni Association event will be 5/3/14 in Terre Haute to help celebrate graduation with our new Alumni Brothers!!!  There will be food and drinks provided and possibly some Derby wagers!!!

We are a Brotherhood I hope we can all share that bond this year!!!
